The 2025 edition of the Makers Club kicked off in grand style as Mr. Hanson Johnson, the CEO of Start Innovation Hub, hosted children from various age groups for an engaging and inspiring entrepreneurship workshop on ideation. The workshop’s goal was to encourage children to develop real solutions to real-world problems and shape young minds to align with global, tech-driven innovation goals.
During his keynote speech, Mr. Johnson introduced participants to the concept of ideation—the creative process of generating, developing, and communicating new ideas.
“We’ll be focusing on ideation,” he said. “You’ll be coming up with ideas, developing them, and by the end of this program, you’ll present them. If there’s an investor present and your idea is solid, you just might secure a real investment—because you bring value.”
The event also featured prominent attendees, including Mrs. Youth, Convener of StartHub Women, along with facilitators from Code Like a Pro (CLAP) and a cross-section of enthusiastic children registered in the Makers Club program.
A key highlight of the day was the interactive Question and Answer session, where participants from the club’s three age brackets had the opportunity to ask thought-provoking questions and showcase their creativity:
- Tech Tots (Ages 5–7)
- Junior Coders (Ages 8–12)
- Tech Titans (Ages 13–17)
The ongoing 2025 Makers Club, which launched on August 4th and will run through August 29th, has already created an electrifying atmosphere across the Start Innovation Hub workspaces. The young, aspiring tech innovators are diving into real-world challenges and developing viable solutions—a clear sign that the future of technology and entrepreneurship is in capable hands.
