Project: Project Lead

Overview:

The Data Analytics Trainer will play a crucial role in the Digital Development Initiative, a project aimed at empowering participants with essential digital skills. The trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions on data analytics, ensuring that participants gain practical, hands-on experience with data analysis tools and techniques. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to learners with varying levels of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and update a comprehensive training curriculum focused on data analytics, covering topics such as data collection, data cleaning, data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
2. Tailor training materials to the specific needs of participants, ensuring alignment with the goals of the project Initiative.
3. Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions on data analytics tools and techniques.
4. Provide hands-on guidance to participants, helping them apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
5. Design and administer assessments to evaluate participants’ progress and understanding of data analytics concepts.
6. Provide constructive feedback to participants and suggest areas for improvement.
7. Offer technical support to participants during and after workouts. Assist with software installation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest data analytics tools and technologies and incorporate them into training sessions.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

Experience: Proven experience in data analytics, with a strong understanding of tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Previous experience as a trainer or educator, particularly in a digital development or educational project, is highly desirable.

Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Ability to adapt training methods to suit different learning styles and experience levels. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics.
• Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
